Dennis Hatch Goin to The Mosconi Cup-YES!!!
hello all,
juat wanted to post that i think its was a great reward for Dennis Hatch to have to opportunity to be a candidate to be voted into Team USA to compete in the Mosconi Cup, but then to be voted on team usa to actually become the final player is great and well earned...he played spectacular on the joss tour with an unmatched year of domination as well as his heads up match against darren appleton, the current 9 ball champion, in what was suppose to be a race to 100 for 20k in vegas, then b4 the start they upped it to 40k. they went toe-to-toe for 2 days but on day three, despite appleton's fans tryn there best to shark em and rattle his game, hatch showed superior composure and heart, as well as the ability to tame his fierce style of play in a long grueling race so on the final day he still had his strong game in him and ran away with it to win 100-83. i felt and am happy that he is getting the recognition of a champion...so congrats to "The Hatchman" on a great year and comeback over the past decade...i am probably a bit subjective in my opinion since i am fortunate to have the opportunity to get help from him with my own game but you got to recognize his domination in the box when he catches a gear. allen hopkins even said after the appleton match that “If Dennis catches a high gear, nobody wants to play him,” ...personally i think his style of play and relentless attitude and aggressive play is exactly what team usa needed to complete the team and bring them all together to represent team usa. anyone that knows him or has played him knows that losing is never an option for him when in the hot seat, thats the mind of a champion. so goodluck to dennis hatch and team usa, well done!!!
congrats to all the other well deserved contenders as well as many that were not on the list but perhaps should of been on a good year...
